I've seen 3 different sets of signal names but pin number is the same. The CD-ROM drive ran all right without 21, 28, or 29 connected, albeit in I/O Port mode, so I'm still unsure whether DMA uses the shared pins. One is not going to find ready made cables, the market's too small. Many electronics and computer stores do have standard SCSI-2 to mini SCSI-2 cables, as well as external SCSI cases which would fit a CD-ROM and/or floppy drive with the final connections inside the case, but the shell at the Dauphin will have to be "stretched." It is left entirely to conjecture as to the technical competence of any- one foolish enough to try these procedures. I am not responsible for any damages incurred. morris

Pinouts for DTR-1 HDD/Floppy Port This port contains both a full IDE connector and a full floppy disk connector. There is some functional overlap between the two and some pins are shared. However, the only thing keeping both from being attached via a single connector is that doing so generates too much line noise. They they begin to interfere with one another. Remember, external hard drives connected through this port are Drive D on the same controller as the internal HDD (drive C). Floppy drives are drive A.
